Artist's Description

Eagle Owls have inspired legends, from Egyptian hieroglyphs to Nepali and Hindu myths telling of how they have captured a spirit of the departed. When they silently take to flight, it is easy to let your imagination follow.

From an ecological standpoint, owls perform the valuable need of keeping the populations of rodents, such as mice and moles, and small mammals, such as rabbits, in check.
